ABOUT OUR CHURCH

Who We Are

We are a vibrant Ministry made up of diverse people from different nationalities and cultural backgrounds. Our common bond is a faith in Jesus Christ as our Lord and Saviour. Renewal Ground, a place of new beginning for all nations, was founded in March 2002 as a Church plant of Redemption Parish, a parish of the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG) in Leyton London.

The Redeemed Christian Church of God was founded in 1952 and is led by Pastor E. A. Adeboye, the General Overseer with a membership of over a million people worldwide.

Renewal Ground Parish started with 11 members in total, 4 Adults and 7 Children including the Minister. The first service was held at Seven Sisters Road, Finsbury Park, until we moved to our present location; St Olave’s Church hall, Manor House, London N4 2TW in April 2004.

Our Mission

  • To bring and draw people to Jesus and membership in His family.
  • To develop to Christ-like maturity, and to equip them for their ministry in the Church and mission in the world, so they may experience all round renewal by the power of the Holy Spirit and thereby magnify God’s Name.
  • To make Heaven and take as many people as possible along.
  • Outward reach: To change the world, we have to be bold and courageous. Jesus commanded us to go into the entire world and present the good news.

Our Vision

  • A place where the hurting, the depressed, the frustrated, and the confused can
find love, comfort, acceptance, help, forgiveness, guidance and encouragement.
  • A place where the Good News of Jesus Christ is shared with hundreds of people
in Manor House / Finsbury park.
  • A place where people are developed to spiritual maturity through Bible studies,
    small groups, seminars and retreats.
  • A place where every believer is equipped for a significant ministry by helping
them discover the gifts and talents God gave them.

Our Statement of Faith

  • Baptism by Immersion: that following faith in Jesus, every believer is to be baptised by immersion in the name of the Father, Son and Holy Spirit.
  • The Blood of Jesus Christ: which was shed for us on the cross at Calvary, cleanses us from all sin and grants us access into the presence of God.
  • The second coming of Jesus Christ: that Jesus will come again to earth in glory and the dead in Christ will rise first, and those who are alive in Christ will be translated into the presence of God for eternity.
  • The Holy Bible: as the infallible and authoritative word of God, given to direct all.
  • Divine Healing: the restoration of health to the one who believes and acts out God’s word, and that Jesus is the Healer.
  • God the Father: Creator of heaven and earth, who made man in His own image and likeness.
  • The Trinity: the three persons of God; God the Father, God the Son and God the Holy Spirit, three in one.
  • The Virgin Birth: that Jesus was conceived by the Holy Spirit and born of the Virgin Mary.
  • The Death and Resurrection of Jesus Christ: that Jesus was crucified for the sins of mankind on the cross at Calvary, He died, was buried and rose from the dead on the third day; He ascended into heaven and is seated at the right hand of God the Father.
  • The Holy Spirit: the comforter and teacher of all things who dwells within us, uniting us to Jesus Christ.
  • The Baptism of The Holy Spirit: which is freely available to all who believe in Jesus Christ and the Holy Spirit; and is manifested by the gift of speaking in unknown tongues.
  • Salvation: which is a gift from God through grace and faith in Jesus Christ; that all who believes in Him may be saved by turning from sin to repentance and trusting in His death and resurrection, are born again by the Holy Spirit.
