Mighty Men of Valor
This is the umbrella ministry for the men at Renewal Ground. The group exists to organize prayer meetings and coordinate other activities, providing opportunities for men to network. Our purpose is to provide men in “the house” with opportunities and resources to:
Esthers
This is the umbrella ministry for all women at Renewal Ground. They meet for prayers and sometimes spend time together in fellowship; relaxing and enjoying each other′s company. The group seeks to develop women; focus is on integrity, confidence and completeness in all areas – physically, emotionally, and socially. Objectives are to:
Single’s Ministry
This ministry is for unmarried individuals over the age of 23. The primary benefit of the group is to provide members with the opportunity to build relationships among each other. Members participate in an activity that gives them a chance to interact with each other without societal pressure or expectations. It also gives them a spiritual family support thus encouraging their walk with Christ. This ministry exists to facilitate the needs of our members. Our Vision is to:
Youth Ministry
The youth ministry caters for the young adults of Renewal Ground. As a church our objective is to have a vibrant and radical youth ministry that will be an example to their generation.
Vision: Raised up in Christ. This ministry is aimed at those between the ages of 18 and 23.
Junior Church
Proverbs 22:6 − Train up a child in the way he should go and when he is old he will not turn from it. This is the children′s department of Renewal Ground that shares the good news of Christ with children through fun-filled and life-changing lessons. It is for all children between the ages of 3 and 12years. Volunteers must have good communication skills at all levels, be creative with biblical learning activities and must have a good level of patience and tolerance. Also they must be able to teach and be willing to attend training sessions for the junior church. They must love children and be willing to stay with the children during services, events and conferences.
Our sessions run concurrently with the Sunday services at 10:30am − 1pm.
Finance
This department is responsible for the finances of Renewal Ground. Volunteers must have a flair for figures and have an eye for detail. They must be dedicated and punctual members of the church. They must also be willing to wait after each service to count the offering.
Follow up & Visitation
This department deals with new converts, guests, and existing members, through visitation and telephone calls to enquire about their wellbeing. Members must be proactive and be able to work as part of a team. A listening ear and as well as counseling experience is desirable. They must also be willing to spare a few hours during the week.
Hospitality & Reception
This department is the first point of contact for guests and returning members. They organize various receptions aimed at helping guests get acquainted with the church. Furthermore, they are responsible for providing refreshments after the Sunday service and other relevant occasions. Volunteers must be very cheerful, friendly and hospitable. They must be available to attend all services and conferences.
Technical
This department ensures that all sound equipments within the church function well; a basic knowledge of electronics would help. They must be able to work alone and as part of a team. Time commitment includes all services, conferences and events taking place in Church on Sundays and during the week.
Cleaning
This department is responsible for cleaning the church and its environment. Volunteers must have a willing heart, an eye for detail, be punctual and committed.
Word & Sound
This department is in charge of all the audios and videos produced in Renewal Ground. Members must have good customer service and administrative skills and be able to handle cash and merchandise. They must be able to work on their own initiative and as part of a team. Time commitment includes Sunday service, conferences and events.
Conferences & Events
This is the events planning and organising department. Volunteers must possess project management, publicity and resource management skills. They must be able to use their own initiative and work as part of team.
Outreach
This is the main evangelism department of Renewal Ground. The ministry organizes and coordinates all outreach initiatives relating to Renewal Ground. Members must be prepared to attend scheduled prison, street and door to door evangelism, and also support the organizing of other outreach programmes.
Prayer Ministry
These are people that stand in the gap on a weekly basis for the church and other individuals through prayer, intercession, supplication, thanksgiving etc. Even though every believer is expected to pray, volunteers regard this as their calling, to intercede for the church and her members. Volunteers are also expected to fast and attend at least one of the following: weekly meetings, Quarterly vigils and a prayer meeting held on the last Sunday of the month.
Sunday School
This school is aimed at raising disciples for the Lord. Volunteers must be spiritually mature, able to teach with good listening and counseling skills. It is aimed at teaching Bible lessons so as to impart knowledge to the members of Renewal Ground. The aim is also to organize social and spiritual interaction − for example via bible quizzes. Volunteers must be available for at least 45 minutes on Sundays before the service, to wait after the service for the Sunday school Teacher′s review fortnightly and be willing to be committed to following up their students.
Protocol
This department caters for the hospitality and logistic requirements of Guest Ministers to Renewal Ground. Members are required to dress formal, be organized, and be vigilant and sensitive to the needs of the Pastor and Guest Ministers. They must possess the ability to communicate at all levels. A full UK driving license will be very desirable. Time commitment includes 5 hrs on Sundays however, could be as required during the week.
